A package from England!

During Christmas break I took a vacation to Europe to see a high school best friend that is living there. I had the opportunity to meet a wonderful new friend named Jessica! Jenny and Jessica are both stationed in England in the United States Air Force serving our country. They are such amazing women giving up their time away from family and friends to fulfill their calling. While in England I got to know Jessica and the amazing person she is. Jenny, Jessica and I traveled to Paris together and had such an amazing time.


After our trip Jessica taught me to be a friend not only to those you see daily, weekly or monthly . Be a friend to those always. Since my time in Europe I have received TWO packages from England from Jessica with special gifts she sent . Every time I get home and see the package it reminds me of the amazing time I had with these special girls and the friendship that I created with Jessica. I feel truly blessed to have Jessica as a friend and cannot wait until our yearly girl trips that HOPEFULLY we will take. Please keep Jenny and Jessica in your prayers as they move around the world we live in to protect our freedom.

Life as a new Teacher, new friend, new fiance, new Aunt =)

Time right now - time of the essence! I love all the new things going on in my life despite the limited time I have with friends and family. Teaching has been such a joy but with it brings many long days and long nights. Fred and I are planning our wedding for July 9, 2011. We are so excited and so overwhelmed to say the least. We were so blessed to have our friends and family travel to NY this last week for a wedding shower. Being in NY was so much fun and made Fred and I realize the time we have to travel is so precious. I have a job with many much needed WONDERFUL vacations and Fred also has a job with A LOT vacation time. We forsee many vacations in our future! There is just so much to catch up on and I am all scattered....

The start of a new life!

I am starting a blog as many things in our lives are starting to take off. I have been blessed this year with graduating from the University of North Texas, getting engaged and becoming a first grade teacher. I am so excited to share these great times with Fred and our friends and family. We have many friends having little ones and its so exciting. I am so happy to be sharing all these new upcoming events with my significant other. I know once school starts its going to be hard for me to blog, but it's a great way for me to take time to myself and reflect on things; good or bad! I cannot express how excited I am that my family is going to be coming from all over the country ( including my best friend from ENGLAND) to our wedding.

I can get use to this =)
